No filming in inappropriate locations.

Check safety of location e.g. roads.

Minimize risk of theft of equipment.

When filming on location ensure teachers and a responsible adult know where you are and when you will return.

Check all equipment is working before you leave.

Ensure you have permission of filming if necessary.

Always film with at least one other person.

Ensure you have the permission of those you are filming.

Our location

These are to images of the locations that we chose to do our filming. The first image is China town in London where we began our filming and the second image is Leicester square where we shot some more of the scenes in our music video. We chose to film in London as we thought their was many locations to choose from and we also thought that London was a nicer setting rather than some closer to home like dagenham.

Filming

Audience theory

Feminist film theory and film audiences- Cinema reflects society so therefore cinema reflects a patriarchal society.

Partriarchy and phallocentrism are linked and the pahllus is a symbol of power muc hlike how guns are used in films. Gun=phallus=power. This is similar to the male mid-life crisis where men buy a new car to help them and regian some of their youth and power suc has the jaguar e-type.

The gaze- The 'gaze' of the camera is the male gaze and the male gaze is active meaning the female gaze is passive. Within the narrative male characters direct their gaze towards female characters. The viewer is made to identify with the male look, because the camera films from the optical, as well as libidinal, point of view of the male character.

Thus three levels of cinematic gaze-camera, character and spectator-that objectify the female character (the triple gaze). Therefore the audience is constructed as though everyone is male.
Women are forced to look as thoug they were a male audience member.

Agency- In the classic Hollywood cinema the male protagonist has agency- he is active and powerful. He is the agent around whom the dramatic action unfolds. The female character is passive and powerless-she is the object of desire for the characters.

Laura Mulvey- Eroctic desires- Mulvey argues that women have tw oroles in film: As an object of erotic deisre for the characters and also as an object of erotic desire for the audience.

Digipaks

A digipak is a patented style of cd packaging and they are a registered trade mark of AGI media. Digipaks are made from papaerboard or card stock and on the inside it has one or plastic cd holders. Digipaks are mainly used for cd singles or for special edition of cd albums or dvd's. There are four styles of Digipak the smaller 4 page digipak or the much bigger 8 page and the DVD digipak just for DVD's.

Filming

We are going to find a location tomorrow and we will also begin filming tomorrow also. The main location that we are considering t do our filming is in London and we are going there tomorrow to find a suitable area to do our filming.

Audience theory

Suture: Classic Hollywood narrative and editing 'sutures' or positions the audience in certain ways making only one preferred reading possible, however unconscious the audience is of that position.
